Mobile Suspension and Power Steering Repair
East Texas back roads are hard on suspension, and a clunk you have learned to live with is usually a joint that is wearing out rather than a noise that is just there.
At a Glance
- Control arms, ball joints, tie rods, shocks and struts
- Power steering pumps, hoses and leaks
- Work done on jack stands at your home or your job
- You hear which part is loose and why it makes that noise

Noises That Are Worth Chasing
A knock over a speed bump, a clunk turning into a parking space, a shudder through the wheel on a rough road. Every one of those is a part with play in it that did not have play when the car was new.
Suspension rarely fails all at once. It gets looser, the car gets vaguer, and you adjust to it without noticing. Then one joint lets go and it stops being a noise.
Steering That Went Heavy
Power steering that suddenly needs both arms is usually a belt, a leak or a low reservoir, and all three are findable in a driveway. A whine that rises with the wheel is the pump telling you it is running dry.
Because one belt often drives the steering pump and the alternator and the water pump together, heavy steering can arrive alongside a charge light and a hot gauge. That is one repair, not three.
What Comes After
Suspension parts change the geometry of the front end, so most of this work wants an alignment afterward. D&B does not do alignments and says so plainly. You will be told to book one and roughly what it involves, rather than finding out later that the job was half finished.

Questions About Suspension and Steering
Do you replace struts at my house?
Yes. Struts, shocks, control arms, ball joints and tie rod ends are all driveway work on jack stands.
Will I need an alignment after?
On most front end work, yes. D&B does not do alignments and will tell you that before the job, not after it.
Can you find a noise I cannot describe?
Usually. Bring the car to the point where it makes the noise and it can be chased from there.
